§ Mr. Sandysasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the security forces have at any time observed supporters of the Front for the Liberation of Occupied South Yemen or the National Liberation Front carrying submachine 44W guns or other firearms in the streets of Aden; and, if so, what action was taken to prevent this defiance of the law.
§ Mr. George ThomsonNo.
§ Mr. Sandysasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the acts of violence instigated by the Front for the Liberation of Occupied South Yemen during recent weeks, he is now satisfied that this terrorist organisation has acted in a manner prejudicial to public safety; and whether he will now give instructions for the Front for the Liberation of Occupied South Yemen to be banned on the same grounds as he banned the National Liberation Front.
§ Mr. George ThomsonI regret that the Front for Liberation of Occupied South Yemen should still be resorting to violence, but I have nothing to add to my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary's reply to the right hon. Gentleman on 23rd March.—[Vol. 743, c.335.]
