HC Deb 02 May 1967 vol 746 c36W
Sir T. Brinton

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the anticipated total number of staff to be employed in the Parliamentary Commissioner's office when it is in full operation; and what is the estimated total cost of salaries and general expenses, respectively.

Mr. MacDermot

The eventual size of the office will have to be determined in the light of experience. In the current year's estimates 63 staff are provided for in addition to the Commissioner; their salaries would amount to £121,000 and general expenses to £18,000. 54 staff are at present in post.
