HC Deb 21 March 1967 vol 743 c240W
Q11. Dr. David Owen

asked the Prime Minister what steps he intends to take to ensure that the widest possible publicity is given to the function and scope of activity of the Parliamentary Commissioner.

The Prime Minister

Publicity is essentially a matter for the Parliamentary Commissioner, but I understand that, when the Bill comes into force, Sir Edmund Compton will hold a conference for Press, radio and television and will make available notes for guidance of the public which are likely to receive wide publicity.
