HC Deb 21 March 1967 vol 743 c228W
55. Mr. Dalyell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many civil servants in his Department are concerned in the financial control of the Anglo-French variable geometry aircraft.

Mr. MacDermot

Six, in the course of their ordinary duties.

Mr. Dalyell

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will appoint an advisory body to deal with the purely financial aspects of the Anglo-French co-operation on variable geometry aircraft.

Mr. MacDermot

It is not possible to separate questions of pure finance from technical management. The detailed financial control of this project is among the responsibilities of the Anglo-French project Management Committee.
