§ Mr. Lubbockasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will give estimates for Greater London, England and Wales, and Great Britain, respectively, of the total number of privately rented dwellings, the number subject to control, and the number subject to regulation at the latest convenient date; and if he will also give an estimate of the current annual rate of decline of the number in each class.
§ Mr. MacCollInformation on tenure of dwellings derived from the 1966 sample census will be available later this year. The follwing estimates embody projections from the same data upon which earlier estimates were based, and are therefore somewhat less certain.
Most privately rented dwellings not subject to rent control are either subject to rent regulation or within the scope of the furnished houses rent tribunals.
