Osbomeasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the price of natural rubber has fallen recently to 17d. per pound, the lowest price since 1945; and, since the value of money has fallen by more than a half in those years, if he will seek to call an international conference of growers and users, with a view to at least doubling the price of rubber.
§ Mr. JayNatural rubber prices are at their lowest since early 1954. The International Rubber Study Group is closely studying the future prospect for natural rubber and we shall do best to await its recommendations.
