Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he will give an assurance that, when making an application to join the Common Market, Her Majesty's Government will specify in the application that Great Britain could only join on the basis that the five points, known as the Gaitskell Conditions, are granted by the Community as the prerequisite of Great Britain's discussions and eventual entry.
