HC Deb 09 March 1967 vol 742 cc332-3W
58. Sir M. Stoddart-Scott

asked the Postmaster-General what arrangements he has made to maintain a sub-post office at Blubberhouses; where the new sub-post office will be located; whether it will be in action before the present sub-post office is demolished; and whether he is aware of the anxiety felt by pensioners and others with regard to the maintenance of Post Office services in this moorland village.

Mr. Edward Short

I am aware of the concern felt by the residents of Blubber-houses. I am not yet able to say exactly where the new sub-post office will be located, but I certainly hope to have it in action immediately the present office has to close.
