§ Mr. Hazellasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will now make a further statement about the comments he received from the British Egg Marketing Board on the Committee of Investigation's report on the arrangements for processing second-quality eggs.
§ Mr. PeartYes. The Board has now submitted its draft proposals outlining revised arrangements for the processing of both first and second quality eggs. My right hon. Friends and I propose to make copies available on request and invite comments on these proposals from anyone concerned in the processing of eggs or the distribution or use of the processed products. I should make it clear that we are not in any way committed at this stage to accepting these proposals, and we will take comments into account before reaching a decision.
