§ Miss HerbisonIt is estimated that there were, at 31st December, 1966, about 335,000 retirement pensioners in Wales, 575,000 in Scotland and 5,625,000 in England, representing respectively 17.9, 16.9 and 18.2 per cent. of the population over 21 years of age.
