§ Mr. Gwilym Robertsasked the Minister of Power what study he has made of the economic advantages of setting up fully gas-fired electricity generating stations near the East Anglian coast and distributing the power by reversing the flow along the existing grid lines connecting East Anglia and the Midlands; and what conclusions he has reached.
§ Mr. MarshThe Central Electricity Generating Board and the Gas Council are conducting further studies into the use of natural gas at power stations. The results will be carefully considered as part of the review of fuel policy which I am undertaking.
