HC Deb 02 March 1967 vol 742 cc148-9W
Mr. Gregory

asked the President of the Board of Trade what progress has been made towards solving the problems of grey towns; what kind of special assistance will be given to such areas; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. J. P. W. Mallalieu

In so far as industrial development is concerned, the problems of those localities where some diversification is desirable but whose circumstances do not justify designation as a development area can best be met through the flexible administration of the i.d.c. control.
