§ 70. Mr. Fortescueasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the fact that Liverpool handles more of this country's exports than any other port, she will accord a higher priority than is at present planned to the building of a motorway to link Liverpool with the M6.
§ Mr. SwinglerWe have this consideration very much in mind. The South Lancashire Motorway (M52), linking Liverpool with the M6 and with Manchester, is included in the list of trunk road schemes announced on 21st February for preparation for the early 1970's programme. Preparation has already begun and is being pressed forward with all speed.
