§ The Attorney-GeneralThose concerned with the administration of the Legal Aid Scheme do their utmost to prevent abuses. The increased cost of the Scheme is almost entirely due to the increased number of litigants who qualify for legal aid. The average cost to public funds of a legal aided case has only increased by 1.88 per cent. over the last four years.
