§ Mr. John Hallasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give separately the percentage changes in public authorities' current expenditure and consumers' expenditure, both revalued at 1958 prices and seasonally adjusted, between the first and second halves of 1961, and between the first and second halves of 1966.
§ Mr. CallaghanPublic expenditure increased by about 1½ per cent. in the first period and by about 2 per cent. in the second. Consumers' expenditure increased very slightly in the first period and fell by about 2½ per cent. in the second.
