§ Dr. David Kerrasked the Minister of Health which local health authorities have appointed to their training centres for the mentally subnormal, or in a super- 172W visory capacity in this field, members of staff with educational qualifications.
§ Mr. SnowOf approximately 3,500 members of staff working in training centres at 30th September, 1966, about 850 held the Diploma of the Training Council for Teachers of the Mentally Handicapped or equivalent qualifications. In addition some of the staff of training centres are qualified to teach in primary and secondary schools, but my right hon. Friend does not know how many.
