§ Miss HerbisonIf a claimant to Supplementary Benefit cannot conveniently produce information or documents needed to work out his entitlement to benefit, he may be invited to sign form A42, which authorises a third party to do so on his behalf. The form has been in use since July, 1962, and I estimate that it is used about 100,000 times a year.
