§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Minister of Technology what steps he is taking to increase the British supply of enriched uranium.
§ Mr. BennMy predecessor made a statement to the House on 9th December, 1965, about the reactivation of the Atomic Energy Authority's enriched uranium plant at Capenhurst.
The second stage modifications costing approximately £14 million will be completed in 1970 and the output will then meet the needs of the nuclear power programme for the ensuing 2 to 3 years.
Development work for the next stages is in hand.
§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Minister of Technology what are the terms of the agreement with the United States of America on third party participation in work at Capenhurst.
§ Mt. BennNo such agreement exists, but I would refer my hon. Friend to my answer to the hon. Member for Orpington (Mr. Lubbock) on 6th June.—[Vol. 747, c.155.]
