Mr. Murray

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will publish a simple guide to the Common Market and the pros and cons of entry for sale at a reasonable price to the general public through the normal commercial bookselling channels.

Mr. Mulley,

pursuant to his reply, [OFFICIAL REPORT, 13th June, 1967; Vol. 748, c. 57], circulated the following information:—

1. A factual booklet "Britain and the European Economic Community: the Economic Background", published by Her Majesty's Stationery Office at 3s. has been on sale since 8th May.

2. The following White Papers are on sale:

  1. (a) Membership of the European Communities (text of the Prime Minister's Statement of 2nd May). Cmnd. 3269, price 1s.
  2. (b) The Common Agricultural Policy of the European Economic Community. Cmnd. 3274, price 2s.
  3. (c) Legal and Constitutional Implications of United Kingdom Membership of the European Communities. Cmnd. 3301, price 1s. 9d.
