HC Deb 12 June 1967 vol 748 cc2-3W
17. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what consideration was given, before reaching a decision to apply for entry into the European Economic Community, to a North Atlantic Free Trade Area and to whether such an area would provide a viable alternative to membership of the European Economic Community; and what other groupings have been considered as providing a viable basis for modern technological progress.

Mr. George Brown

I have nothing to add to what I said on this subject in my speech to the House on 10th May.—[Vol. 746, c. 1509–13.]
