Campbellasked the Minister of Transport why she has authorised, during the period of severe restraint, increases in railway charges relating to long distances, such as luggage in advance, sleeping berths and journeys over 200 miles, as opposed to shorter commuter distances; if she is aware that this will discourage long distance rail travel; and if she will make a statement.
