Mr. Leadbitterasked the Minister of Technology what research has been undertaken on the subject of oil pollution and its prevention arising from the experience of the "Torrey Canyon" incident; and to what extent his Department is actively co-operating with other State Departments to consider related matters.
§ Mr. BennMy Department is collaborating with several other Government Departments in reviewing the scientific aspects of the problem, and will carry out any further research work which is appropriate to it.
