§ Mr. Scottasked the Minister of Health if, in view of the fact that social workers in local authority service can get secondment for training, he will take steps to enable social workers in psychiatric hospitals to do so if they wish.
§ Mr. SnowUnqualified staff in hospital employment with the required educational qualifications are already eligible for training grants to attend university courses leading to qualification as psychiatric social workers, but my right hon. Friend has under review the staffing needs of the service and the need for any further training facilities.
