RobinsonIn addition to the case in Northumberland last year, I am aware of eleven cases which have been substantiated by scientific investigation—eight in Germany, two in Denmark and one in Chile. Ten of these occurred in staff attached to foot-and-mouth disease 125W virus research institutes; the other in a school teacher with a history of indirect contact with such an institute.
