§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will take steps to actuate the present international organisations whose object is to make and preserve international peace to invite North and South Vietnamese Ministers to a conference to devise means of ending the Vietnam war.
§ Mr. George BrownWe are of course ready to take any steps which might lead to the ending of the Vietnamese war. However, I have no reason to think that the North Vietnamese or their allies are yet ready to attend a conference.
