Mr. J. H. Osborn

asked the Minister of Power (1) what has been the capital expenditure of the steel industry on computers and computer services, respectively; how many advisory staff and computer programmers are employed by the industry; what is the current cost of operating these services; and whether there is any surplus capacity;

(2) what has been the capital expenditure of the gas industry on computers and computer services, respectively; how many advisory staff and computer programmers are employed by the industry; what is the current cost of operating these services; and whether there is any surplus capacity;

(3) what has been the capital expenditure of the National Coal Board on computers and computer services, respectively; how many advisory staff and computer programmers are employed by the Board; what is the current cost of operating these services; and how much spare capacity there is;

(4) what has been the capital expenditure of the Electricity Council on computers and computer services, respectively; how many advisory staff and computer programmers are employed by the Council; what is the current cost of operating these services; and whether there is any surplus capacity.
