I am therefore asking the Criminal Law Revision Committee to consider whether statutory provision should be made to protect the secrecy of the jury room; and in particular whether, and, if so, subject to what exemptions and qualifications, it should be an offence to seek information328W from a juror about a jury's deliberations or for a juror to disclose such information.
