§ Mr. Milneasked the President of the Board of Trade what communication he has received from Mr. J. Browning, Secretary of Blyth and District Trades Council, regarding increased employment opportunities, in view of the high rate of unemployment running at 6.3 per cent. on 12th June, 1967 in the employment exchange areas covered by the Blyth and District Trades Council; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. JayA letter from Mr. Browning concerning the employment situation in the Blyth area has been received during the past few days. I am, of course, aware of the difficulties of this area. My Department will do all it possibly can to persuade industralists to consider locating projects there.
