§ Mr. ShoreThe figure of 496,372 includes the temporarily stopped as well as the wholly unemployed. A main purpose of the Government's policy is to strengthen the economy so that a sustained high level of employment can be achieved. The Government will take such further measures as are necessary to achieve this end.
