asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many company directors have been forbidden to be concerned in the management of a company without leave of the court, in accordance with Section 188 of the Companies Act 1948; and for what period have they been so forbidden in each case.

Since January 1, 1962, the Board of Trade and the Board of Inland Revenue have been concerned in cases which have led to 38 orders under Section 188. In 25 of these orders the period of disqualification was 5 years. In 5 orders 4 years, in 7 orders 3 years and in one order 2 years.
