Mr. Dribergasked the Minister of Health if he is aware that, following the complaints by a resident of Barking, of whose name he has been informed, of the treatment of her 14-year-old spastic son in South Ockendon Hospital, a meeting took place between this lady and the physician superintendent of the hospital; that at this meeting certain detailed improvements in the arrangements for the comfort of sub-normal patients, and for the supervision of charge nurses, were proposed; which of these proposals have now been acted on; and what steps have been taken to prevent a recurrence of the incidents that led to these complaints.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonImproved arrangements aimed at obviating similar complaints in future have been introduced, and I have described them in a reply to my hon. Friend's letter of 7th July on the same subject.
