§ 57. Mr. Lomasasked the Lord President of the Council if he will propose to the Services Committee that guides paid out of Government funds be appointed to show parties round the Palace of Westminster.
§ Mr. CrossmanA recommendation that a permanent corps of part-time guides, paid for out of public funds, should be established was made by the Select Committee on House of Commons Accommodation, etc., in 1954, but was not adopted. I will ask the Services Committee to look into the suggestion again.
