Dr. Bennettasked the Minister of Health to what extent his Department has been called in to investigate the poisoning, by a virulent strain of a salmonella group organism, of many of the guests at the Lancaster House reception for the Italian Prime Minister; and what steps he is taking for the observance of proper standards of hygiene in Government hospitality in the future.
§ Mr. SnowMy Department has not been concerned in the investigation. The maintenance of proper standards of hygiene in catering for Government receptions is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Public Building and Works.
