HC Deb 13 July 1967 vol 750 cc147-8W
Mr. Barnett

asked the President of the Board of Trade what stage he has reached in his discussions with the motor insurers on the implementation of the recommendation in the Report of the Monopolies Commission on International Motor Insurance Cards.

Mr. Jay

I have received an assurance from the members of the Motor Insurers' Bureau that they have terminated the arrangement for making a uniform charge for the issue of a green card and an undertaking that they will not adopt any similar arrangement in the future.

Each insurer will individually decide what charge to make for the issue of a green card.
