asked the Secretary of State for Wales what increase there has been in the area of planting land acquired for afforestation in Wales since 1966; and what are the prospects for the rest of this year.

The Forestry Commission has acquired 544 acres of plantable land in Wales since 31st December, 1966. In the remainder of this year they hope to acquire 6,400 acres.
