§ Mr. Sharplesasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs how many different types of official form were being used in his Department at the latest available date; and if he will give the equivalent numbers for October, 1964.
§ Mr. William RodgersI have been asked to reply.
The number of different types of official form being used in the Foreign Office, Commonwealth Office, Diplomatic Service Administration Office and overseas posts of Her Majesty's Diplomatic Service is 325.
In view of the reorganisation of the Departments following on the Report of the Committee on Representational Services Overseas under the Chairmanship of Lord Plowden, it is not possible to give the equivalent number for October, 1964. The figure for the Commonwealth Relations Office for March of that year was given as 215 for internal use and 190 for external use by the then Secretary of State for Commonwealth Affairs to the hon. Gentleman the Member for Harrow, West (Mr. John Page) on 26th March, 1964.—[Vol. 692, c. 149.]
