§ Mr. John Fraserasked the Minister of Transport how many road construction units have been established; and what is the anticipated saving to public funds resulting from their establishment.
§ Mr. SwinglerOne Road Construction Unit has already been established in the North West; the North Eastern and Midland Units will be set up in October of this year, and the remaining three Units in Spring 1968.
It is not possible at this stage to assess the savings to public funds which will result from the improvements in executing the trunk road and motorway programmes that the new system will achieve.
