HC Deb 05 July 1967 vol 749 c269W
Mr. Biffen

asked the Minister of Labour (1) how many wage claims notified to him as having failed to receive endorsement by the Trades Union Congress vetting committee have subsequently been accepted by the Government as consistent with the prices and incomes policy;

(2) if he will state how many wage claims, the number of workers involved and the average percentage claimed increase in income is covered by applications that have been notified to him as having passed the Trades Union Congress vetting committee; and what is the corresponding information on salary claims.

Mr. Hattersley

My information about the work of the vetting committee of the T.U.C. does not provide a basis for the statistical comparisons for which the hon. Member asks.
