Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Minister of Transport to what extent it is her policy to provide crawler lanes for slow moving heavy-goods vehicles on trunk roads at suitable points so as to reduce, so far as possible, the formation behind them of queues of faster motor vehicles wishing to pass; what is the present number and length of such lanes; and what are her current plans for extending them.
