§ Mr. Russell Johnstonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what inquiries he has made, and what action he proposes, to ensure that Members of Parliament are informed directly, and not through the Press, of the policy and decisions of the Highlands and Islands Development Board.
§ Mr. RossIt is for the Board to decide how, in the circumstances of each case, it should announce its decisions. I am assured that the Board is anxious to ensure that Highland Members of Parliament are kept fully informed.
