§ 77. Mr. John Leeasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will instruct the Royal Engineers to use a section of the A4 road in the Minster Ward in Reading for a bridging, operation when that corps is next engaged in a routine practical exercise of this kind in the Southern Command, in order to provide a temporary safety measure for the benefit of pedestrians crossing this road.
§ Mr. BoydenI would refer the hon. Member to the Answer given to him on 7th June on the question of a subway under the A4 road. Similar considerations apply to this suggestion.—[Vol. 747, c.203.]
