§ Mr. Roebuckasked the Minister of Technology if he is aware that the proposed closure of the Thrupp and Maberly factory in North-West London is a breach of the undertaking given by the Chrysler Corporation set out in his letter of 16th January last to Mr. I. J. Minett, group 215W vice-president of the Chrysler Corporation; and what action he proposes to take in the matter.
§ Mr. BennThe closure referred to is intended as part of the rationalisation and modernisation plans of the company necessary for expansion and does not of itself breach any of the undertakings given by Chrysler. I am in touch with the firm about it.
