§ Mr. Rowlandasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science (1) what contribution the National Coal Board will make to the capital costs and annual recurrent costs of the proposed Regional Sports Centre at Polesworth, Warwickshire, after opencast coalmining in the area;
(2) what are the estimated capital costs, annual recurrent costs and annual receipts of the proposed Regional Sports Centre at Polesworth, Warwickshire; and what contribution his Department will make directly or indirectly to this project.
§ Mr. CroslandI understand this is a matter which is being discussed between the Board and the West Midland Regional Sports Council and I am asking the Chairman of the Board to write to my hon. Friend direct.
It is too early to attempt detailed financial estimates or to consider the question of possible help from my Department.
