asked the Minister of Power if he will make a statement about the progress made so far in the reorganisation of the steel industry.

Mr. Marsh

The National Steel Corporation's first report on the organisation of the nationalised steel industry will be laid before Parliament soon after vesting date.

Mr. Hooson

asked the Minister of Power (1) if worker representatives will sit on the area boards of the nationalised steel industry for the areas in which they work;

(2) what procedure he will adopt for appointing worker representatives to the area boards of the nationalised steel industry.

Mr. Marsh

If the present proposals of the National Steel Corporation are adopted, the worker-members of the group boards in the nationalised steel industry would be appointed by the N.S.C.
