HC Deb 04 July 1967 vol 749 c242W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister of Transport whether she will take whatever action may be deemed necessary to ensure that, in the future, Members of Parliament with 20 or more years' service in the House of Commons are given at least an equal opportunity with those Members who have recently entered the House of Commons of attending the various cocktail parties and receptions organised by her Department.

Mrs. Castle

On the few such occasions organised by my Department it is my practice to invite those persons, whether M.P.s or not, who have a special interest in the purpose for which the entertainment is provided.
