asked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the present status of Colonel Lohan in the public service.

Mr. Healey

Colonel Lohan is an un-established civil servant. He has given a month's notice of resignation, to take effect from the end of July.

Mr. Robert Cooke

asked the Secretary of State for Defence at what date it was decided that Colonel Lohan's post should carry positive vetting.

Mr. Healey

I would refer the hon. Gentleman to the replies given by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 27th June.
