§ Mr. Huckfieldasked the Minister of Technology (1) whether he is satisfied that the Chrysler Corporation have maintained their undertaking, given to him on 16th January of this year, relating to labour relations; and whether he will make a statement;
(2) whether he is satisfied that the Chrysler Corporation, in attempting to rationalise their productive capacity in 216W this country, are adhering to all the undertakings given to him, in particular those he received from the Corporation on 16th January this year.
§ Mr. BennI am satisfied that the rationalisation of the productive capacity of Rootes is in accord with the undertakings given to me on 16th January. I am discussing with the firm the effect on labour relations of the closures which have been announced to satisfy myself that the undertakings given in this respect have been observed.
