HC Deb 31 January 1967 vol 740 c64W
Mr. R. Carr

asked the Secretary of State for Defence by how much the retired pay of a major who retired with maximum service in 1935, and is now over 80 years of age, has been increased; and by how much the cost of living has risen since his retirement.

Mr. Reynolds,

pursuant to his Answer [OFFICIAL REPORT, 26th January, 1967; Vol. 739, c. 347], made the following correction:

I regret that I misinformed the right hon. Gentleman in my Answer of 26th January. The increase in the cost of living is about 200 per cent.
