§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Attorney-General whether he will employ the Economist Intelligence Unit to investigate and report on how to effect economies of money and time in public money spent on legal aid, by means of rationalisation in the legal system.
§ The Attorney-GeneralI do not think employment of the Economist Intelligence Unit would be justified. A Treasury review of the administration of the legal aid scheme in 1964/65 made certain recommendations which have been, or are in process of being, effected.
