§ Mr. Whitakerasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will take steps, as recommended by the Plowden Committee, to end corporal punishment in schools.
§ Mr. CroslandI will consider this further when I have the comments on the recommendations of the Plowden Committee for which I have asked bodies representing the Local Education Authorities and the teachers.
